Youth’s Critical Perspectives on the Peace Process
On August 26, the second youth forum was held in Ijevan as part of the “Youth’s Critical Perspectives on the Peace Process” project, implemented by the Caucasus Institute and the Max Planck Foundation for International Peace and the Rule of Law. Young people from Tavush discussed the current stage of the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process and the Armenia-Turkey normalization process, possible developments, and existing challenges with experts Sergey Minasyan and Alexander Iskandaryan. During the subsequent group work, they tried to formulate their views and expectations regarding the peace process. Delegates will be selected from among the participants to represent Tavush at the interregional final forum, which will take place in Jermuk. Young people from Syunik and Gegharkunik will also participate in the final forum. The project is a joint initiative of the Caucasus Institute and the Max Planck Foundation for International Peace and the Rule of Law, funded by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
