Workshop

ELECTIONS AND DOMESTIC POLITICS: THE INTERNAL DIMENSIONS OF ARMENIA’S NATIONAL SECURITY POLICY

From February 27 to March 1, the Caucasus Institute organized a workshop in Tsaghkadzor titled “Elections and Domestic Politics: The Internal Dimension of Armenia’s National Security Policy.” The event brought together representatives of the Office of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia, members of the academic and expert communities, and journalists. Discussions focused on the potential involvement and engagement of external actors in the country’s internal political life, electoral processes, and the tabulation of voting results. Participants also examined the role and influence of public opinion surveys and statistical data in shaping public perception, reviewed political forces and parties including their institutional capacities and development prospects and possible post-election scenarios.
The event was organized within the framework of the “Strengthening Armenia’s National Security Policy” project, funded by the Government of the United Kingdom under the UK’s international development assistance.
