Workshop

DOMESTIC POLITICS, SOCIETY DEVELOPMENT AND INSTITUTIONAL SUSTAINABILITY. INTERNAL DIMENSION OF THE ARMENIAN NATIONAL SECURITY POLICY.

On December 12–14, the Caucasus Institute organized a workshop in Tsaghkadzor titled “Domestic Politics, Society Development and Institutional Sustainability: Internal Dimension of the Armenian National Security Policy.”

The workshop brought together representatives of the Office of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Defense, as well as experts from the academic and analytical communities and journalists.

During the discussions, participants addressed key processes shaping Armenia’s domestic political development, including post-Soviet experiences, elections and the political system, the role of civil society, media, and the expert community, as well as the role of defense and security institutions within the state system.

The event was held within the framework of the “Strengthening Armenia’s National Security Policy” program, which is funded by the Government of the United Kingdom through UK international development assistance.
