CHANGING NATURE OF MODERN WARS AND CONFLICTS
From August 29–31, 2025 the Caucasus Institute held a closed workshop in Tsaghkadzor titled “The Changing Nature of Modern Wars and Military Conflicts.” Representatives of the RA Security Council Office and Ministry of Defense, along with experts in security, defense, foreign policy, and analytical centers, took part in the event. Discussions focused on the conceptual and technological shifts in modern warfare, as well as its societal, political, and cultural dimensions. Participants also examined the implications of these changes for Armenia’s security and defense policy development, including strategic documents. The event was organized within the framework of the “Strengthening Armenia’s Security Policy” project, funded by the UK Government through international development assistance, with support from the British Embassy Yerevan.
