On August 25, the Caucasus Institute, in partnership with the Max Planck Foundation for International Peace and the Rule of Law, held the second workshop of the “Popular Participation in Legislation in Armenia” project in Vanadzor, Lori region. The workshop focused on strengthening the advocacy capacities of local CSOs from the Lori region and improving their strategies and approaches to increase their impact on legislative processes. Guided by Alexander Iskandaryan, Director of the Caucasus Institute, and Marat Atovmyan, Vice President of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association, participants worked in groups to develop new initiatives addressing community, local, or national-level challenges. The project was hosted by the NGO Center and funded by the German Federal Foreign Office.
