LOCAL DEMOCRACY AND PARTICIPATORY BUDGETING
On August 12, 2025, the third meeting of the Kotayk Political Club was held on the topic “Local Democracy and Participatory Budgeting.” Abraham Artashesyan, Executive Director of the “Union of Community Financiers” NGO, and Davit Margaryan, Director of the “School of Local Democracy” Educational Foundation, presented mechanisms for citizen and civil society participation in community-level decision-making, as well as tools for effective cooperation with local self-government bodies. The Club’s activities are carried out within the framework of the Caucasus Institute’s “Launching Political Clubs in the Border Regions of Armenia” program, implemented with the financial support of the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
