Book Presentation

THE SOUTH CAUCASUS: TRENDS AND PROSPECTS IN THE CONTEXT OF THE WAR IN UKRAINE

On April 17, the Caucasus Institute hosted the presentation of its new book “The South Caucasus: Trends and Prospects in the Context of the War in Ukraine.” The event brought together diplomats, scholars, experts, students and interested participants for a thoughtful discussion on the political, economic, and security developments in the South Caucasus amid ongoing regional and international challenges. We were pleased to have Artak Shakaryan, Program Director at the International Republican Institute, deliver an insightful review of the book. The discussion was expertly moderated by Alexander Iskandaryan, Director of the Caucasus Institute. The articles of the book are based on papers presented by scholars from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, Poland, and the United Kingdom at an international conference held in Yerevan in 2024 in the framework of the project on Engaging Society and Government in Armenia in Developing an Agenda for a Secure Region funded by UK International Development from the UK government.
